Apples are so crisp and juicy at the moment, that I decided to incorporate them into a new muffin recipe for afternoon tea. This is the result – Autumn Muffins with apple, oat and white chocolate.

The children asked for seconds which is always a positive sign, especially since they tend at times to be the most honestly brutal of food critics. I will post the recipe tomorrow after I’ve checked on the flavour, moisture and texture the day after baking.
