Another classic, this time of the sweet kind. It’s almost hard to believe that four simple ingredients, when combined correctly, can produce something so sublime as the cake base of this Swiss Roll. 

I remember with great delight, the Swiss Rolls my mother would make. They were always especially welcomed during the hot Perth summers as a refreshing afternoon treat, especially when thickly spread with cold whipped cream.

Featherlight and soft and filled with my vanilla bean scented home made strawberry jam, whipped creme fraiche and cream, this is an afternoon tea delight that must be shared with family or friends.
